The wait is over. Google has finally rolled out the much awaited Google for Jobs in India. According to the information available, the job seekers can now use this feature to search for jobs from over a dozen Google partners using the search bar using a simple search term "Jobs near me". This feature could bring about a drastic change in the job search process because the job openings published across the partner sites will have enhanced visibility to job seekers. This feature was launched in the US sometime last year and the Indian version is based on the former's success.

Job seekers will now have the option to use Smart Filters available in the application to filter out opportunities and also store search terms on the app to give alerts on matching opportunities. These features are available on both the Android and iOS platforms and by default on the Google search bar on the desktop and mobile.

Google has at present signed up with the following partners to display the listed jobs

  • IBM Talent Management Solutions
  • LinkedIn
  • Quezx
  • QuikrJobs
  • Shine.com
  • T-Jobs
  • TimesJobs
  • Wisdomjobs
  • Aasaanjobs
  • Freshersworld
  • Headhonchos

However, the above are only the initial list of partners signed up and they are in talks with Naukri to be a partner in this initiative. Google is also working working in sync with various state governments to make the job search experience simpler.

Google however does not store any of this listings and it only directs the users to the respective advertiser.
